In The Great ‘Beatles or Stones?’ question, I choose Stones. And if you make me pick one song, I don’t hesitate to point out 1969’s “Gimme Shelter.” Here are the isolated tracks, and there’s even more power evident in the individual performances than the mixed one. Man. Oh. Man.
